Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You are correct. Even if it was wireless, you would still have to have a power cord. To be totally wire free, the speaker would have to be battery operated. The flat sub might fit under your rear seating chair or sofa, so that would minimize and partly hide the speaker wires. BTW, I am quite happy with the Vizio 5.1 system. Be sure to download the phone app since using it to adjust the sub is much easier than using the remote control. The rear speakers can get fairly loud so I have them on their back on the floor facing upwards, which sort of works for me, and also hides the wires.
