Q: QuestionHow is the fan speed tuned? We recently bought one of these, and the fan is fast on low, slower on medium, and fast on high. This doesn't make sense to me. It seems it should get faster from low to medium to high. How exactly should it work?

• A:Answer The fan speed shouldn't be changing with the different levels. It is designed to stay the same and the output changes with the wattage that is being used at each level, up to 1500 watts on high. The sound level will change with the different levels of output. Q: QuestionHow durable is the plug? Can it handle the energy that goes through the heater? I’ve had space heaters where the plug has melted and they were never plugged into an extension cord but directly into a wall outlet.

• A:Answer The plugs and cords meet all the safety standards and requirements and are certified. Safety is a priority to Vornado. Always make sure you are plugging them into snug outlets. Loose and/or worn outlets can sometimes be a factor in cases where this may happen, due to the electrical current being directed elsewhere. You may want to have an electrician look at and possibly replace any worn outlets.
