“Barring obstructions, what is the maximum distance that the closed circuit system will reach? Also, I’m wondering why in the manual you recommend NOT using the closed circuit? Wi-Fi is not secure.”

Hi - The actual operating range of the VTech RM5766-2HD may vary depending on the environmental conditions, and other interferences such as walls, doors, and electronic devices nearby. We suggest the use of Wii-Fi connection to ensure continuous monitoring even if you are away from home. The manual also states security precautions.
