• Sam - The Wi-Fi feature of the VTech RM7766-2HD is an optional feature. You can still use the parent unit to monitor the baby unit. The actual operating range of the baby monitor may vary depending on the environmental conditions and other interferences such as walls, doors and other obstructions. Thank you, -VTech Support
