QuestionIs there any baby monitoring set that can allow 2 receivers ?

- Answer This monitoring set has two 'parent' devices, where you can hear the monitoring device. It has adjustable volume and can place the parent devices in any room because they will 'link' up to the monitoring device once turned on. I have one in my bedroom and dining/living area.

QuestionHello, which is the difference with the other product that has 3 units? the unit for baby needs to be plugged, but the parents one can be with batteries? I ll be in Denver next week, can I find this there or should I ask to be sent to my hotel?Thanks!

- Answer in my set of 3, the "Parent" unit is plugged. The "Parent" unit is the one you have in the baby's room, or in my case the laundry room. The other 2 units, or the monitors, have batteries. You are supposed to leave them plugged in routinely, but you can unplug them and carry them outside, to a different room, etc. Just remember to plug them back in when you are done.

QuestionCan you use the intercome without the monitoring sound being on?

- Answer You can turn the monitoring function to "sound activated" so there is no ambient silence coming through the receiver, only when there is noise in the other room.

- Answer SMLSTRIPER1 - The VTech DM221-2 comes with one baby unit and two parent units. If they are on different rooms, then only the child in the same room as the baby unit will be monitored. If you are looking for two baby units to monitor each room, then we recommend our Video monitors which comes with two camera units that can be stationed at different rooms. You would also have an option to view one camera unit, both camera's at the same time or patrol mode which transitions to a different baby unit every few seconds.. Thank you! - VTech Support.

- Answer Hi - The VTech DM221 and DM221-2 are non-expandable model thus you cannot add additional parent unit/baby unit to work with a single base unit. However, you can use two sets of the baby monitor in the same house but make sure that they are at least 3 feet away from each other to prevent interference. Thank you! - VTech Support

QuestionWould this work at a nursing home where we leave the base in my father's room and we stand outside his window to talk? He is not able to use his hands so we need it to be hands free.

- Answer We use it as a one way communication tool with my dad. We can hear him, but he cannot hear us. We leave the base with him and he can let us know if he needs anything simply by speaking. We are unaware if there is a talk back type feature. The 2 companion pieces require you to hold down a button in order to speak.
