Will this one work in a two-story house? null

Yes. I have the speaker unit in the living room downstairs which is in the east side of the house and the microphone unit upstairs in the bedroom which is in the west side of the house. So it not only separated on two different floors but also on opposite sides of the house. Loud and clear with no static or fade out.
