“Why is there a microphone on the parent monitor”

• The manual clearly points to a microphone on the parent unit (small hole above and to the right of the speaker). I have yet to find an explanation of why this unit has a microphone.

• Hi - The parent unit of the VTech DM111 does not have a microphone. It is only the baby unit that has a microphone which is used for detecting sounds that will be transmitted to the parent unit. Thank you! - VTech Support
