Mike - We're sorry to hear that you are having issues with the CS6919-2. The unit does not have a built in answering machine. You need to contact your telephone service provider to get assistance on how to change the number of rings before Voicemail answers the call. Thank you.

After they finished laughing, they said that they can't make adjustments of this nature, and they don't know what VTech is talking-about. The correct answer is "CS6919-2 is not designed to allow users to adjust the number of rings."
