• Carolyn - The VTech CM18445 requires connection to an electrical outlet and telephone jack/modem to function. We cannot connect a CM18445 to another console of the same model. However, you can get a cordless handset (VTech model CM18045/AM18047) or a cordless desksets (VTech model CM18245/AM18247) to expand your system. The main console is expandable up to nine devices. The cordless expansion units wirelessly connect to the main console and do not require connection to a telephone jack. Thank you! - VTech Support
