• Hi - Yes, the VTech CM18445 requires connection to an AC adapter and a telephone jack/modem to get a dial tone. The unit is not compatible with Bluetooth enabled headset but you can pair a VTech IS6200 cordless headset to the telephone base. Thank you! - VTech Support
