“Does both phone bases need to be connected to a phone line? I have a single cordless phone that is connected to an outlet and a phone line. I want another phone but do not have a phone line just the electrical outlet. What system shall I purchase?”

Hello - The main telephone base of the VTech CS5119-2 has to be connected to an active phone line and electrical outlet to work. The secondary phone only requires connection to the AC power to work. Thank you, -VTech Support
