• Hi - Yes, you can clear all devices registered to the model CS6529 for it take in new cordless handsets. Here's the instructions on how to deregister the missing handsets. To deregister your handset: Step 1. Press and hold Find Handset on the telephone base for about 10 seconds until the IN USE light starts to flash. Step 2. Immediately press Find Handset again. You must press the Find Handset button while the IN USE light is still flashing. Step 3. The deregistration process takes about 10 seconds to complete. Thank you -VTech Support

• When you buy a replacement or additional handset you simply insert into existing base station for a minute and it will automatically register (or pair) the new handset. No need to reset the base. Hope this helps.
