“Does this phone require a landline or can you plug it in to an outlet because I’m looking for a phone that you can plug in to an outlet. If this phone does not work with and outlet can somebody recommend me a phone that does.thanks”

This accessory phone does not require a landline phone cord, but this phone only works if you also have the BASE (master) unit which does require a landline phone cord. The base unit sends the voice call wirelessly to this accessory phone. Both phones need electricity so they need to be plugged in to an electrical outlet, like you would plug a lamp into. You can have many of these accessory phones working wirelessly with the same base (master) unit to other accessory phones in various rooms in you house. All phones would use the same landline service / phone number.
