Will this phone work if the power goes out? null

Hi - The main telephone base of the VTech CS6949 will still work during power outages. However, you can only use the corded handset to make and receive calls. The answering machine and the display screen will not function if there is no power. Thank you, -VTech Support

If your phone service is provide into your house via telephone cables from a phone company, yes. If your phone service is part of a bundled package from your internet/cable provider and comes into your router via a co-ax cable FIRST and then is sent to your phone jacks FROM the router, when you lose power, you lose your router, and you lose your landline phone.
