“I turned off the ringer on the base using the volume buttons, and turned off the ringer from the menu buttons, but the corded phone still rings. The display even has the ringer is off but it still rings, also rings during quiet mode.”

Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the ringer of the VTech CS6949. Like many electronic devices, a system reset may resolve the issue. You can reset the phone by disconnecting the power from the telephone base for a minute. Reconnect and test.
