Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having audio issues with the VTech CS6949. Make sure tthat the unit is away from electronic devices that may cause interference. You may also reboot the unit by disconnecting the power to the telephone base and the battery on the cordless handset. Wait for a minute before reconnecting the AC power and battery then test the unit.
