• Hi - The VTech CS6949 supports a maximum of five devices. The cordless handset compatible with the telephone base is the model VTech CS6909. Here's how you can register a cordless handset to the telephone base. Step 1. On the telephone base, press and hold FIND HANDSET for about 4 seconds until the IN USE light turns on, display shows Registering...... Step 2. On the cordless handset, press QUIET#. Display shows Registered and you will hear a confirmation tone. Thank you, -VTech Support
