Does this need two phone jacks? null

Hi - No, only the telephone base of the VTech CS6949 requires connection to an electrical outlet and a telephone jack to function. The small charger for the cordless handset connects only to the electrical outlet. Thank you! - VTech Support

The handheld doesn't need to be plugged into a phone jack, just needs an electrical outlet so it stays charged.
