QuestionWhat happens during a power outage? Will the base continue to work during a power outage?

- Answer Hi - The VTech IS8151-4 does not have a battery back up on the telephone base, hence the system will not work during power outage. If you are interested with the said feature, you may check the model IS8151-4. Thank you, -VTech Support

QuestionThey still these ancient artifacts? For $$?? Why I remember when I's wee high to a grasshopper when you had to turn a crank on the phone in order to get a Ma Bell operator to plug her special cord into the switchboard so I could talk to my brother, Earl.

- Answer Hi - The VTech IS8251-5 is a 5 handsets telephone system. The telephone base can register up to 5 handsets. You can get the IS8201 accessory handset as a replacement if in case one of the handsets in the system stops functioning. Thank you, -VTech Support
