The product comes bundled with Animae Studio Debut and Corel Painter 2015, both are 30 day trails. My daughter is 13 and has been using Corel Painter and she loves it, every day she uses it she finds new features and things that she can do with this software, and she finds it pretty easy to use and very user friendly. Animae Studio she has not used that much so there in not much feedback to provide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What kind of software are you asking about? The software that comes with the various tablets, or software that is used for a specific purpose, i.e. photo editing, graphic design, sketching/drawing, etc? If your software question hasn't been answered yet (or if you're looking for more software info), just give me a shout and I can try to help - just need to know what kind of software/purpose of the software. :)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can keep it simple with MS Paint as it doesn't have nearly the options of many art programs but it gives enough options to make good art. It isn't too simple, but it isn't too hard. Someone at the age of 12 needs a little challenge to progress as an artist and once that person is good at it, move them on to the more pro programs along with some books that help teach them the important features.
