This is an input device, like a mouse. Except it lets you input a lot more data, like pressure and angle you're holding the drawing pen at. You can edit and retouch photos with this device inside of an editing program (not included with the device).

My wife is a professional photographer using Photoshop and Lighttoom, as well as other tools such as OnOne, and it works great. That being said, your question is highly subjective, and is really impossible to answer since it is so dependent on the specific "problem" you are trying to "fix". In reality, the ability for a product to "fix" a picture is more a function of the software and the users skill set. That being said, my wife LOVES this product.
