• Yes...there are two power switches. One to turn on the fireplace (without heat) and the other to turn on the heater. You CANNOT adjust the heat though (only one temperature) and no remote control. The fireplace glow creates a nice ambiance to any room. We have ours in my husband's den and the heater heats up the room in no time. Hope this helps.
