A:Answer I guess you could, by lowering the shelf to the lowest possible (there's a hard stop at the very bottom, but it's still a few inches over the lowest point) but you would need either a very high ceiling, a low placement of your TV, and/or a combination of both, since there's a fixed metallic piece where the shelf is mounted and it can only be placed vertically. Hence, the high ceiling/low placement of the TV requirement. Plus the cable management would be a tad messy. It would not look pretty at all, but if you need to, you could go with that option.
