A:AnswerJust take off the old filter and the filter number you need will be printed on the side of the old filter. Simply take the old filter, or better yet, take a picture of the filter number and go as fast as you can to the nearest Best Buy and go to the LG filter kiosk in the refrigerator section and you will find it!!! A:AnswerThe same thing has happened to me. It seems that after the first couple of times of replacing it, it wont catch just like you're explaining. It does take a little elbow grease to make sure it goes up and then locks after turning it about 1/4 turn. Good luck. Don't let that keep you from replacing it in the future.
