  • QuestionIs this Compatible with The Ps5

    Asked by Rell.

    • Answer Hello Rell, Sony added support for external USB hard drives on the PS5 with their April 2021 update. However, due to PS5 restrictions, games can only be played off the console’s internal SSD. As such, external USB storage hard drives only function as a faster way to hot-swap games and data on or off the PS5’s internal storage. -Need Help? • QuestionWill this fit in the spare m.2 ssd slot in the hp omen 30l?

    Asked by Dest.

    • Answer Just to clarify: Optane is a speed-boosting technology that essentially acts like faster and increased capacity cache. It make the greatest difference with used with standard (platter) HDDs, less difference (but some) with typical 2.5" SSDs. This is because it is designed to work with the SATA bus. Since it uses the same PCIe connector as an NVMe drive, I don't see how it would affect the speed of such a drive in any way, nor how could you connect it: you would have to have the PCIe connector on the motherboard connect to the Optane memory, which in turn would connect to the NVMe drive!
