Q: QuestionWill this work on the acer nitro 5? (AN515-43 model)
Asked by Moctar.
- A:Answer Yes, but ACER support is terrible and although it does tell you how to replace NVMe in the ACER manual - they 100% will void your warranty for doing so. As soon as you open the case of the laptop they void everything. Trust me, I know from experience. Also the stock drive is x2 by default which you should make the spare if possible since it slows down the whole device. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/standard-warranty

Asked by CrunchyTowel.

Q: QuestionIs this a retail kit with cloning software included?
Asked by Dana.
- A:Answer Most of these answers are partially correct, but not 100%. The software is not in the box, but can be easily downloaded from the WD website. It is actually a form of Acronis, licensed from that manufacturer but limited to work with WD drives. This does NOT mean that you have to install a WD drive, nor does it mean that you have to replace a WD drive. Rather, it means that as long as one of the drives you have (cloning from, or to) is of WD origin, you can use it. So you can use it to either install or replace a WD drive. This will suit all immediate needs. There is just one small caveat: let's say you replace a WD drive with a Samsung drive. Next year you decide to replace the Samsung drive with an Adata drive. You cannot then use the WD version of Acronis to do this. Instead, you will have to download the Adata version of Acronis, purchase a full version of Acronis, or use other software for any cloning/copying.
