  • QuestionWhy is this designed "for desktops only?" What is the difference between a "desktop only," and "laptop or desktop" M.2 SSD when they have the same connection?

    Asked by Zippy.

    • Answer The built in heatsink is the only difference between the desktop and laptop version. Most laptops will not have the space to accommodate the thickness of the heatsink of the desktop version. However, some laptops have added passive heat dissipation where the NVMe drive would be installed while on a desktop it may be sitting between the CPU and video card where heat is already an issue.

  • QuestionIs this ps5 compatible?

    Asked by Shaggy.

    • Answer Based on PS5 firmware 2.0 update (as of September 2021), this SN750 is compatible of PS5 and current PS5 games. The speeds are slower when transferring game files, but game performance differences are negligible.
