Thank you for your post. Unfortunately we cannot say for sure if a 1 TB drive will work in a specific computer system. There are many factors that determine what size hard drive a system can support and the best way to find out is to contact the computer manufacturer. Sometimes the user manual may list what capacities the computer can support. You can also check on e-machines website to see if they may have a BIOS update. Some manufacturers will release a new BIOS and in the release notes it may tell if the update works with larger hard drives and what the capacity limitation is. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You can either install the hard drive as a slave to add more space or you can replace the existing hard drive by copying the original drive to the new drive. The new drive will probably come with a utility disc and instructions on how to do this. There are plenty of downloadable freeware programs to do this as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most likely it should recognize the full size, however, if it doesn't you can simply purchase a controller card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can. I did. Just make sure you burn a system recovery disk and backup all of your data. You will need that for the new drive. For data backup, I recommend Carbonite or iDrive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You shouldn't have any problem using this drive but just to make sure I would update your bios to the latest version from your manufacture's website.
