Just a buzzword they slapped on. Truthfully, for games and VR type experiences you should look for a hard drive with 7200 RPM to help increase throughput of data. This hard drive is 5400 RPM.

I’m not a computer geek but my friend is so I’m not able to answer your question about being VR ready, sorry. All I know is I am able to keep my desktop and save money from purchasing a new one.
