Yes it will work on your computer. It does not come with an installation disk. However you need to initialize the disk so it will show up as a drive.

Yes, it will work, but you will have to get a Windows installation disk or use system restore disks you may have created to reinstall a working Windows on the new HDD.

Yes this drive will work but there is no installation disc included. It's just the hard drive, although you can download a free version of Acronis True Image WD Edition if you want clone your old drive to this drive.

No installation disk is needed for a HDD. Remove old HDD. Install New HDD. Enter BIOS. Select DVD drive to boot with. Reboot. Slap Windows on it, via the DVD, and you're ready to go.

It should work with no problem. You don't need and installation disk, just boot with you windows installation disk. You can format and create a partition from the windows installation disk.

The 500gb is just more space and it would work perfect on your dell. But it's does not come with installation disk, you have to have your own windows OS to install on it. Hope I answer your question.
