Faster speeds are always better, but not always necessary. More memory follows the same rules. Without knowing your use for the drive it is impossible to say how you should go though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey there, It will be compatable with the laptop you mentioned and I wouldn't go looking for faster drives as an improvement. Read and write speeds in the hard drive aren't really improved by going 7200 rpm over your standard 5400. You may experience slightly faster boot times and a minimal file-transfer speed increase but that's about it. So if this one is more convenient and cheaper than the 7200 rpm drive I'd stick with this one. Best of luck, Inferno
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This will work, depending on what you are doing 500gb is more than enough for the average user. Higher RPM is always better
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A 7200 rpm hd will definitely perform better than a 5200. When you have the option, go with the fastest you can find. I recommend a SSD for the ultimate in performance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.WD hard drives have always been the most reliable and best warranteed products that I have seen. I use them when I can for repairing customer computers, Pc's and Mac's.. I aim for the 7200rpm speed for the access time it provides over 5400rpm. The 500GB drive is a good price point and size. Be sure to register your device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For a laptop, stick with Lower RPM. 7200 will suck more battery life, and there really isn't a noticeable difference for everyday tasks. You can find what size dimensions your hard drive is currently and replace it with a new HDD of the same dimensions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, good drive. IF you need more space and faster response time, spend more more 7200 and 1tb
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it will work. whether or not you need a bigger, faster drive depends on what you plan on using it for. intensive apps will run better with a bigger faster drive but if your laptop is for normal use (email, web video, etc.) this should work just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO. This works just fine for what I need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.RPM is going to be the speed at which it loads stuff. Higher rpm gives you faster load times
