“I am confused. Have a seagate external harddrive that I copy paste files from my harddrive to my seagate external harddrive. Wanted another one but BestBuy out so got WD instead. But I can't copy/paste. It says import from cloud or social media? Not same?”

I am switching this drive from Mac to PC without a problem, and have cut and pasted from both. I suggest that you not install the software provided with the Drive by WD at all because it attempts to have you connect to their cloud, appears to be some sort of marketing gimmick software. If you format the drive that software goes away and you will see it is the same as any external drive.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are using a Mac, you have to reformat the hard drive before it can be used. Simple instructions are available online. If you are using a windows operating system, it should work. Suggest bringing it in to the geek squad or exchanging it.
