A:AnswerYes, you can either connect to PS4 and format it to store games and apps, or format with a computer and use it to store media that you can use the PlayStation Store Media Player App to watch movies, see and download pics, etc.
A:AnswerYes, it will work just fine in a 2.0 port. No guarantees the transfer speed will be the same as in a 3.0 port, I haven't tested that, but it should still work.
A:AnswerOnce you have finished copying and or pasting to the data from the SD Card to the hard drive, open the hard drive file you placed it, and see if the transferred data is present. If not you do not see the transferred items on the hard drive, you did not transfer it correctly.
