Yes, it is very easy to use. Just plug it into your computer and you can choose how often you want your information backed up. After installation, I went to settings and clicked on backup to see if it worked. It has been backing up my computer daily.

Yes, it should be. Simply plug it in via USB and you are good to go. Locate the drive on "My Computer."
