• Very similar but has software included for backups and encryption if desired.

• To me, Seagate is not as good as WD. The encryption is one of the main reasons I bought. My union has to back up sensitive information and the encryption helps with blocking unwanted access.

• I’ve never used the Seagate HD before but I can tell you that this hard drive is solid. I haven’t had any problems.
