• Nothing included. I had to purchase a cable. I found instructions and link to cloning software on Western Digital website. The software download was free as long has you had a WD drive connected to your PC.

• You need either a docking station that connects via USB or a USB to SATA adapter. As far as software you can use CC Cloner for MAC and Wondershare RecoverIT for PC.
