Hi questionator, Please know that WD Easystore drive comes with an NTFS file system for Windows PCs; macOS computers can mount NTFS formatted drives, but it will be Read Only. It’s best your WD Easystore to be re-formatted in HFS+ file to be compatible with Time Machine or exfat to be read/write ready on both Windows and macOS. We placed a useful link below to an article explaining how to reformat the drive to suit your needs. “How to partition and format a WD drive on Windows and macOS”: https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8200 Need Help?
