• It depends. Usually video game systems require a different type of formatting. I would suggest trying one ps4 and see. You don’t want to risk losing save data or games.

• I formatted mine on my Windows box. And I do swap the drive back and forth on both my laptop, and my PS4. Both systems recognize the drive, and have no issues accessing files

• Unfortunately no, if you plug the hard drive into thePC, it's going to want to reformat the drive in order to be read.
