You need one for each. They format drives differently.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You’d need separate drives. Each system will format the HDD to its own filing system, so to speak, and would wipe each time you switched consoles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, I'm honestly wondering how that would be possible with any hard drive. You would have to get one each, not only for cord purposes, but I imagine they have to be formatted separately, but not sure. It might be possible to use it for each device separately, but only of the formatting is the same.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know with the PS4 I needed to go into the settings and format the HD for use with the system. So, there could be something unique about the PS4 system that requires the reformatting process. I have not tried it with an XBox One, though. It would likely be even trickier to have it connected to both at the same time. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need one for both. It will be formatted to whichever system it’s hooked to first
