As long as your laptop has a USB port you should be able to use it.

This hard drive should work on any computer that has an open USB port. The transfer rate between the drive and the laptop will depend on whether the laptop has a USB 2.0 or 3.0. USB 2.0 will be slower, but it is compatible with any device using 3.0.

This external drive works well with my Surface Pro via USB port. I would expect it to work with any laptop that has an available USB port.
