• No. The included USB 3.0 A-Male-to-Micro-B-Male is standard to most USB 3.0 hard drives, some phones, etc. You can easily buy replacement versions separately of different lengths and from different brands. I would just avoid this particular model drive, however. It's failure-prone. Choose a My Passport instead, or others.

• It's a standard USB 3.0 Cable (A-Male to Micro-B). I have this Western Digital drive and two Toshiba drives of varying sizes and they all use the exact same cable.
