• NO, NO, NO. Dish has a LIMIT OF 2TB for the external hard drive, and it has to be powered by AC, NOT USB!

• NO it will NOT work. 2TB is the max size that will work on the Dish boxes, it does not care what brand it is. Mark

• It depends on a few things; For example, is your Dish Receiver compatible with the hard drive? Also I don't believe you can swap between different devices, once you use the drive for one device such as a DVR you no longer can play back the saved files on another device. This is something you will have to research yourself because every device and company is different.
