It should offer you the option to reformat once plugged into a Mac!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To reformat for your Mac (running a fairly recent MacOS): 1) plug it into a USB port on your Mac. - it will appear on your desktop. It is formatted with NTFS so you will be able to read but not write to it. 2) run the Mac Disk Utility (Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility) 3) select the drive (from the list on the left), then Erase. 4) Give it a name and pick "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" unless you have a different preference. 5) Press Erase

I don't know their web address but they are located in San Jose, CA at Western Digital: 5601 Great Oaks Parkway, San Jose, CA 95119. I hope that this info helps. Good luck.
