Very simple using Windows 10. Keep in mind, if your computer and the drive you buy is not USB 3.0, it will run very slow on transferring very, very large files.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your MOBO has 3.0 USB on it then is should just be plug and play. Worked on my brand new build with out any issues and was recognized as soon I plugged it in. Your mileage may vary if you are using some exotic linux build or something...but that would mean you should be able to solve that issue on your own...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Two ways to transfer data. As a backup, use some kind of backup software like Apple's Time Machine. Or just plug it in, use the dropdown menus to format it and copy things to it like you would to any folder.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As simple as drag and drop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure how to answer that one. If you are on windows just plug it into a usb port . It will add a new drive letter to the PC. Create a folder on the new drive or just transfer your files over.
