Yes and no. This hard drive defaults to NTFS for its file system, windows is able to see three different file system types which are NTFS, FAT32 and exFAT. NTFS (default) is the newest file system that windows uses for most removable and non-removable hard drives, this one being removable FAT32 is just an older file system that's not as efficient as what this hard drive defaults to (NTFS) but FAT32 has greater compatibility with other operating systems, such as Linux, Mac and Ubuntu. So if you were looking to take files from a windows computer and try and use it on a computer with Ubuntu installed, they might not be compatible, but if you are just going to be using this for 1 or more computer with the same OS ( Windows 10 for example ) it would work perfectly. You can also format with hard drive to be exFAT which is just another modern replacement for fat32, but i would stay away from it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
