Hi redbird, Yes, the drive comes with a USB 3.0 cable. Please be informed that with this drive, you get connectivity with USB 3.0 devices as well as backward compatibility with USB 2.0 devices. Works with USB 2. Can’t see why it would not work with Windows 7 if formatted correctly ( think it comes windows formatted)

Yes, this is backwards compatible with Windows 7 and USB 2.0, I have used this and other 3.0 and 3.1 drives on 2.0 equipped only computers that are almost a decade old and they work fine.
