Hi Musicman, Please be informed that the WD Easystore drive is a plug and play external device which is tested and designed for Windows and Mac computers. You can use it to store any data you want. If it is not going to be modified you will be better off with a flash drive. This has a hard disk in it that could be destroyed with one drop. This is good if you have interactive data that will be modified, not archieved.
