Q: QuestionIs this HDD compatible with Windows XP 32bit OS? If not tested, does it still include the "Advanced Format" (512b emulation) capability to use with the "Western Digital Quick Format" software? If not, does it incorporate some other technology for WinXP?
Asked by ImWolf.
- A:Answer Wow... If Western Digital does not know if, or if not this device includes 512-byte emulation (512e) for backward compatibility, how on earth will anyone else know without buying the drive, attempting to format with the WD_Quck_Formatter software while checking the "XP Compatible" box, and then knowing they will either keep the drive or return it? Some reports say that 3.7% of computers are still running Windows XP. You would think WD would be a bit more interested in this market.

Q: QuestionIs it compatible for an iPad Pro?
Asked by Ajaziel.
- A:Answer Hello Ajaziel, Please be informed that the WD Easystore Portable Hard Drive is a plug 'n' play device designed and tested for Windows & macOS. It has connectivity with USB 3.0 devices as well as backward compatibility with USB 2.0 devices. We have not tested the drive with mobile devices or an Ipad, so we recommend you to move the data from phone to Drive using your computer. For more info about the drive, refer to the link: http://products.wdc.com/library/AAG/ENG/4078-705145.pdf -Need Help? Please see our "'Contact Us" page for information.
