Guess it would depend on your AV receiver. To my knowledge, most don't have direct plug-n-play capabilities. However, I plug mine directly into an LG Blu-Ray player than runs directly into my Pioneer AV receiver via HDMI In, which of course eventually runs out to the HDMI Out to SmartTV. Don't know if any of that helps or makes sense ;)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. That’s how I use the drive. I have over 40 TB of music audio and video files, and I move the drives between computers and receivers to have a wired connection to whatever player I want to use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't say I have specifically done what you're asking, but it works fine plugged into a TV and a ROKU to watch movies or play music. Your A/V receiver is going to need appropriate software and interface to work successfully.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It completely depends on the AVR that you have. It has little to nothing to do with the drive itself. You may need to format the drive in a certain way, but that's about it. It's completely up to the AVR on whether or not it will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes but is the A/V unit capable of playing the audio? Remember this is not an audio player....
