• I don't think I would use it for Gaming as they are not fast enough (unless you are playing chess) , it may be USB 3.0 but the drive is not actually fast enough to utilize that. Get a WD black internal drive or an SSD drive for gaming

• I think it would work great for gaming. The reviews say it will. I do do much gaming just playing music and viewing photos
